The mission of the Information Technology Services Department is to recommend, coordinate and guide technology that supports and enhances student success and student learning outcomes by working with faculty, staff, and students. The Information Technology Services Department is involved in every aspect of the teaching, learning and operational functions of the District.

To meet our mission, we will:

Monday          7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Tuesday          7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Wednesday    7 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Thursday        7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Due to Covid 19, all Help Desk calls will be forwarded to a voicemail system and calls will be returned in a timely manner.

*The College is closed on Fridays.

What’s new in ITS?

What is new in the world of technology at Taft College?  The ITS department (Information Technology Services) is always implementing and supporting systems to better serve our faculty, staff, and students.  Currently, Ogla Newlove is working on a project called Banner Extensibility. Mark Gibson and Gustavo Gonzalez were adding hardware to increase memory and speed to a server in which the Banner Extensibility will be ran from (as shown in the picture: Left-Gustavo Gonzalez, Right-Mark Gibson). Banner Extensibility is a tool to helps create and modify self-service applications. This will not only help students but will help staff who are managing this application as well. They are both working diligently, so this application runs efficiently for both staff and students. Both Mark and Gustavo are dedicated in providing Taft College with first class IT service.
